Sessions @ IETF80

Seven sessions have been supported at IETF80 in Prague, in the framework of the "Meetecho experiment".

You can take advantage of the recording of any of such sessions from the list below. You have three different choices:

  1. Watch it online, by means of a JNLP-based custom player (requires Java 1.6.x 32bit)

  2. Download and replay it offline: the offline version of a recorded session consists of a jar file which can be launched with the following command (requires Java 1.6.x 32bit):
      java -ms50M -mx500M -jar session_name.jar
(the -ms50M and -mx500M options increase the Virtual Machine heap memory size, and might be needed in order to replay sessions that are only available as a full bundle).
NOTE: we just discovered a bug in our player, which happen to fail when the path of the downloaded jar file contains spaces (e.g., "Documents and Settings" in Win XP)!
    Bug fixed on April 7, 2011 ;-).

  3. Watch it online, by means of a completely web-based (HTML5+JavaScript) interface
NOTE: HTML5 is a young technology, and with respect to video several discussions are still ongoing within the standardization community as to which codec should be exploited by default. For this reason, at the moment only a Theora video alternative is available in the web-based player: work is ongoing to make a WebM video available as well. No H.264 video availability is planned, since we don't own the required license to generate H.264 content.

See the Recordings section for further details.
